Born Jeffrey Scott Musial in Escondido California, tucked away in quiet North San Diego County to two music enthusiast parents who constantly played loud music around the house and both played a little piano and sang from time to time.
He entered Escondido Christian Elementary School from pre-school on, acting in plays and singing every week in chapel. Here, music became a heavy influence, both for Jeff and older brother Steve. Interest in rock bands, the likes of Kiss, Black Sabbath, and Aerosmith, had to be kept secret from the school's scorn of "The Devil's Music". At age 11, Jeff and brother Steve got their first instruments, acoustic guitars.
Jeff left private school to attended L.R. Green Middle School, continuing to act in a couple plays while devoting most free time to practicing and developing his guitar skills. While at L.R. Green, he made some friends and started his first garage band, playing mostly Metallica, Megadeth, or Pantera covers (until the neighbors would call the police), and hung around with the "skater crowd" skate boarding around town and getting into mischief. At this same time he was turned on to the "guitar shredder crowd", listening to the likes of Steve Vai and Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, and many others.
He then moved on to San Pasqual High School, where he enrolled in many music programs. These included continuing the legacy of the "8 Ball Band", a modern band arrangement that backed up singers and dancers for their performances, playing everything from rock to show tunes, jazz, blues, and others; Jazz Band, which took him to many jazz specific competitions (most notably the Fullerton Jazz Festival, in Fullerton, CA); and the Show Choir, singing and dancing to traditional show tunes. The 8 Ball Band was the strongest rock outlet playing some local parties and events, and even some school functions. Musical horizons expanded greatly during this time, with major influences from 311 and Green Day to The Smiths, Pink Floyd, Queen and Grateful Dead, to jazz influenced hip hop, like Souls of Mischief, Digable Planets and US 3.
After graduating high school he met a local drummer who worked at a guitar shop who was impressed by Jeff's playing and wanted to start an original project together. This original project would last for the better part of the next six years. Under the names of Bishop, and then Circa (now known as Suite 100), they played all over San Diego County, playing pop influenced rock, incorporating new influences like Oingo Boingo, Jason Falkner and Crowed House. He took a short leave from this project to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California, where he majored in Fashion Design in an attempt at pursuing a "real" job that was still in a creative industry.
Around 2002 Jeff's involvement in Circa began to come to and end and he began commuting to Los Angeles to play in a local hard rock band Buy Now And Save. Only in that project about a year, it was enough to cement the permanent move to Los Angeles, where he still resides. Immediately following Buy Now And Save he worked with various aspiring musicians in the pop, dance, and electronic veins of music, diving into the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Seal, Bjork, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers and many others. Being located in Los Angeles also provided convenient access to local prestigious vocal trainers, like Roger Love and Lis Lewis, helping to hone his own vocal skills. In the last several years Jeff has come full circle, putting together his own original project focused on heavy metal, but drawing upon all the musical influences and experiences he's had over his life. With such a long and diverse background Jeff has become a truly developed Rock Guitarist, Vocalist, and a charismatic Storyteller
